Will all the events I post at www.CTCalendar.com have to be confirmed before they can be made available for public viewing?

No. The first event you add as a new user will have to be ‘reviewed’ to determine the trustworthiness of the user/member. This review process will be conducted to confirm the authenticity and appropriate nature of each new user’s events. After the review process, CTCalendar.com users will be assigned an ‘automatic’ or ‘review’ classification. Users with an ‘automatic’ classification will be allowed to freely post events, without review. Users with a ‘review’ classification will have each newly posted event reviewed by our staff prior to it becoming available for public viewing.

• We have developed this system of monitoring users to ensure that www.CTCalendar.com is used for tasteful, non-discriminatory event listings. Second Wind Media Ltd. reserves the right to refuse the posting of any events deemed inappropriate for any reason. In addition, users who violate site privileges will be subject to exclusion from site use or changes in user status.

Why couldn’t I find an event I’ve already added to the on-line calendar?

If you’re a new user, the first event you post WILL NOT be immediately available for public viewing - A review process will be conducted for each new user’s events. We’re always looking to add more venues to our database. You should first visit the web site and search through over 1,000 venues currently available (Our research team may have already added your venue to the site). If your venue IS already in our database and you’d like to update the venue information, please e-mail us at support@conntact.com. Be sure to indicate the information that needs updating and we’ll take care of the rest.

Second, sign-up your company, organization, or yourself as a new user/member. Third, add your venue, including contact information and driving directions, through our on-line system. Each event you add thereafter will include the web address you indicated. Visitors viewing an event detail page will find a link on the page, which will send them directly to your site.

Can I link my venue listing to my own [company, organization] web site?

Yes and it’s FREE. When adding your venue information in our database, be sure to insert your web address in the ‘website’ field. Visitors viewing an event’s detail page or your venue’s detail page will find a link on the page, which will send them directly to your site. The link will only appear on the event’s detail page if that event is taking place at YOUR venue.

Can I set-up an e-mail link so visitors can contact me directly?

Yes and it’s FREE. When signing-up [yourself, your company or your organization], be sure to insert the e-mail address in the ‘organization email’ field. Visitors viewing an event’s detail page will find a highlighted e-mail address link. This link will give the visitor direct e-mail contact to you, your company or your organization. Please note that users can provide a separate, event-specific e-mail address for each event posted on the calendar.

How can I send event or venue information to a friend via e-mail?

It’s easy and it’s FREE. First, find the event you are interested in. Second, click on the event title to reach the event’s detail page. Third, type your friend’s e-mail address in the box indicated and click GO.

Please note that to prevent public misuse of this feature, you must register as a new user/member if you would like to send calendar events to a friend. Once you become a new user, you will have the ability to send both event and venue information to anyone with a valid e-mail address.
